Catholic Charities, Diocese of Camden, provides low cost Immigration Services for those unable to afford the services of a private lawyer, and provides these services regardless of race, religion, sex or ethnic origin. Catholic Charities has been providing Immigration Services in the community for over fifteen years, and is recognized by the U.S. Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA).

DACA Filing Services

How Catholic Charities can help you apply for DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) for the first time and/or renewal.

 

A) First time applying:

You may request DACA if you:

  • Were under the age of 31 as of June 15, 2012
  • Came to the United States before reaching your 16th birthday
  • Have continuously resided in the United States since June 15, 2007, up to the present time
  • Were physically present in the United States on June 15, 2012, and at the time of making your request for consideration of deferred action with USCIS
  • Had no lawful status on June 15, 2012
  • Are currently in school, have graduated or obtained a certificate of completion from high school, have obtained a general education development (GED) certificate, or are an honorably discharged veteran of the Coast Guard or Armed Forces of the United States
  • Have not been convicted of a felony, significant misdemeanor, or three or more other misdemeanors, and do not otherwise pose a threat to national security or public safety

Age Guidelines

You must also be at least 15 years or older to request DACA, unless you are currently in removal proceedings or have a final removal or voluntary departure order.

Fees to USCIS: $380 filing fee for Form I-765 and an $85 biometric services fee, so the total cost is $465 for both first time and renewal.

Catholic Charities fees: – 1st time or new clients: $150.00

B) DACA for Renewal

Who Can Renew

You may request a renewal if you:

  • Did not depart the United States on or after Aug. 15, 2012, without advance parole
  • Have continuously resided in the United States since you submitted your most recent DACA request that was approved
  • Have not been convicted of a felony, a significant misdemeanor, or three or more misdemeanors, and do not otherwise pose a threat to national security or public safety

When to Renew

You should submit your renewal request about 120 days (4 months) before your current period of deferred action will expire. If you submit your request more than 150 days (5 months) before your current period expires, USCIS may reject it and return it to you with instructions to resubmit it closer to the expiration date.

Directrices Edad

B) DACA para la Renovación?¿Quién puede renovar

Usted puede solicitar una renovación si:

  • no se apartó de los Estados Unidos a partir del 15 de agosto 2012, sin posibilidad de libertad anticipada
  • Ha residido continuamente en los Estados Unidos desde que envió su solicitud más reciente DACA que fue aprobado
  • No ha sido condenado por un delito mayor, un delito menor significativo, o tres o más delitos menores, y no de otra manera constituir una amenaza para la seguridad nacional o la seguridad pública

Al renovar:

Usted debe presentar su solicitud de renovación de unos 120 días (4 meses) antes de su período actual de la acción diferida expirará. Si usted presenta su solicitud de más de 150 días (5 meses) antes de que su período actual expira, el USCIS puede rechazarlo y devolverlo a usted con instrucciones para volver a enviarlo más cerca de la fecha de caducidad.
