The Disaster Response and Special Services program in the Diocese of Camden was initially established to provide special services to primary and secondary victims of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.  Since that time the program has provided assistance to local families that have been affected by flood or fire.

Additionally, the Disaster Relief Program has coordinated efforts in the Diocese to offer material, financial and human resources to other dioceses impacted by significant disasters, such as the Florida Hurricanes, Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita.

Assistance provided to local families is offered through the six Family Services and Community Centers.  If you are in need of direct assistance, please contact the Family Service and Community Center in your county.  If you would like to learn more about the program or would like to offer assistance, please contact Jennifer Dyer.

Services we provide are:

  • Hurricane And Relief Efforts
  • Project ONE - Gulf Region
  • Personal Development Program
  • Community Warehouse Services
  • Small Business Development Program

Catholic Charities provide vital social services to people in need, regardless of their religious, social, or economic backgrounds.   We provide social services to, advocate for, and empower the poor, oppressed or vulnerable.  We do this on a non-discriminatory, non-sectarian basis throughout the six southern New Jersey counties.
